Beauty can be found most anywhere; you just have to look. If you try to take everything in at once while you are looking, you will find you take in nothing of importance. If you take in pieces at a time it is easier to find the beauty and appreciation for what you are studying. In shooting Reflections I set out to capture some of the beauty I saw while driving around Columbia. Although most shots were taken at dusk, not all were. The idea was to capture buildings in Columbia that change appearance depending on how light reflects off them or by how the position of the sun changes the feeling of the building. This happens, I notice, mostly in late afternoon to early evening. It is a time when all things seem to take on a golden glow, a time when tall buildings are transformed into giant canvases for nature to recreate them with the quickly changing colors of the sun as it sets.
